Any requests for home visits should be made by ringing the surgery before 12.00 midday.
The GP will visit you between 13:00 and 16:00 or at a time that has been agreed with you. If you have an emergency reason for requesting a home visit after this time your request will be passed to the on-call doctor who will decide if the visit is warranted or will be able to give you advice on your condition.
Please give the patient’s name, address and telephone number.
You will also be asked to state the nature of the problem as this helps the doctors decide on the degree of urgency and to plan their visits.
Please note: home visits are reserved for the elderly and the housebound and those deemed by the doctor to be too ill to attend the surgery. Each home visit takes 5 times as long as a surgery consultation, therefore home visits will be at the discretion of the doctors. We cannot, however, provide home visits due to lack of transport or child-minding facilities.
