When We Are Closed

If you have a non life threatening emergency and are calling the practice between 18:30 and 08:00 or at weekends and bank holidays, your call will be transferred to NHS 111*

Out-of-hours services are generally busy. Please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

 In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute as an emergency.  

 Transferred calls from the surgery to NHS 111 are chargeable. If  however you replace the phone and dial "111" direct, the service is free from mobile and landlines.  

EVERY THURSDAYS, IF YOU HAVE A NON LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY AND ARE CALLING THE PRACTICE BETWEEN 13:00 and 18:30 YOUR CALL WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO 0116 2202578.

EVERY THIRD WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH, THE PRACTICE IS CLOSED FOR STAFF TRAINING FROM 1.00PM -6.30PM. IF YOU REQUIRE URGENT MEDICAL ATTENTION THAT CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY PLEASE CALL: 0116 2202578

Leicester City Healthcare Hubs

Appointments at the Healthcare HUBS can only be booked by GP practice, during practice opening hours of 8am to 6.30pm Mon-Fri. When the practice is closed, please call NHS 111 for advice, who will be able to book an out of hours appointment if appropriate.

The healthcare hubs are an integral part of the service provided by Leicester City GP practices to improve access to appointments. If you need an appointment and we do not have anything available, we may book an appointment for you at one of four healthcare hubs instead, if an appointment is suitable for your particular medical problem.

There are four healthcare hubs in Leicester, offering convenient appointments during the day, in the evenings, at weekends and on bank holidays:

Weekends and bank holiday  - 12:00pm to 8:00pm

Merlyn Vaz Health and Social Care Centre -  1 Spinney Hill Road, Leicester, LE5 3GH ......................................  8am to 8pm, seven days a week

Saffron Health - 612 Saffron Lane, Leicester, LE2 6TD..............................................................................................Mon-Fri 6:30pm to 10:00pm

Weekends and bank holidays - 12:00pm to 8:00pm
